Art of BEing

Creating the life we desire is what we are tasked with once we reach adulthood. We are never really taught to just BE. Throughout our childhood the pressure is on us--- WALK, SPEAK, SMILE, Do...Do...Do...

I have often heard it said that we are humanBEings and not humanDOings, and it is great to be reminded of this.

By the time we are all grown up, we have mastered the art of doing! Do the laundry. Do the dishes. Do the kids homework... well maybe not, but you know what I mean. There is always a long list of to-do's lingering around every corner. This b

ecomes very overwhelming and causes anxiety. How can anyone be stress-free, calm and at peace with so much DOing going on?

This is why it's key to have mindfulness and decompression rituals. It doesn't matter if you are spiritual, do you like stress? Do you enjoy it? If not, then having practices in place that you can turn to during moments of high tension when you desperately need to unwind is essential. See it as Life Skills, you can't go through life without certain life skills, and you can't go through life Successfully if you aren't mindful in balancing your DOing and BEing.

Here are a few ways that you can incorporate mindfulness into your daily activities in order to decrease and even eliminate worry, stress and fear.

In the Present there is no time to worry...

All worries are future based, meaning that you are concerning yourself with something that has not happened yet. Maybe it will happen, maybe it won't. If it does happen, you will have to deal with it. If it doesn't, then you will not. The only reason to allow the situation to enter your mind is if you are strategically planning a solution. Turning the thoughts over and over in your mind is only lowering your vibration frequency.

When you begin to worry, try these five steps:

  1. Ask yourself if the problem is solvable

  2. Challenge the reality of anxious thoughts

  3. Accept uncertainty

  4. Be aware of how others affect you

  5. Focus on the present rather than the past or future

In the Present there is no time to stress...

Stress is killing us all slowly. This is a fact that everyone is ignoring. People go to work and stress, come home and stress, and the pattern never really ends. This leads to a perpetual state of anxiety, and the vibration frequency of anxiety is very low, which in turn means that when you are feeling those emotions, you are emitting a frequency of fear, lack, and instability. This does not put you in alignment with that which you desire. So let's look at some techniques for relieving stress and replacing it with ways to feel better more of the time.

Create a routine of self care:

1. Reiki/Massage Therapy

2. Aromatherapy

3. Yoga

4. Healthy Alkaline Diet

5. Upbeat Music

These are just a few ideas to get you started on the right path to BEing your Highest Self! By BEing Present in each moment, doing things that you enjoy, and even being mindful in doing the things that you don't enjoy so much, you can truly change your life!

Life is ART... The Art of BEing.
